The wisest men and women aren’t just intelligent.
They don’t rely on intellect alone to navigate life.
True wisdom comes from a harmony of intelligence, intuition, and instinct.
These three operate on different levels of awareness:
- Intelligence is the thinking mind—calculating, comparing, analyzing.
- Intuition is above the mind—direct knowing without thought.
- Instinct is below the mind—raw impulses shared with animals.
Together, they form a complete system of human wisdom. Without all of them, you’re incomplete.
🧠 Intelligence – The Power of Thought
Intelligence is your ability to think, reason, and use logic. It works with ideas, language, and abstraction.
- Solving a maths problem
- Planning a holiday
- Writing an essay
- Learning a language
- Designing a business strategy
Intelligence is useful, but limited. It requires time and effort. It second-guesses. It doubts.
It doesn’t always know. That’s where intuition comes in.
🌌 Intuition – The Higher Knowing
Intuition is a direct, effortless knowing that doesn’t come from logic or analysis.
It’s insight that arrives fully formed, often in an instant.
Intuition comes from a place beyond the conscious mind—it’s subtle, but more accurate than reason.
- Sensing someone is lying, even though they seem convincing
- Feeling like you shouldn’t take a certain road—and later discovering there was an accident there
- Meeting someone and immediately knowing you’ll be close
- Coming up with the perfect idea in the shower without even trying
- Knowing a relationship is wrong, even if everything looks “fine” on paper
You can’t explain why you know. You just know. And later, you’re proven right.
🐾 Instinct – The Animal Within
Instinct is raw, biological impulse. It’s your body’s ancient programming—desire, hunger, arousal, fear, territoriality. It keeps you alive and wired into the physical world.
- Wanting to eat when you’re hungry
- Getting angry when someone threatens your child
- A man being attracted to a fertile woman’s body
- Fleeing when you hear a sudden loud noise
- Fighting back when cornered
Two major human instincts are:
- The desire to eat
- The desire to have sex
These are not weaknesses—they are survival drives. They connect you to the primal rhythm of life.
People with low sex drives or who are disconnected from hunger are not more evolved—they are deficient in instinct.
They are missing a fundamental channel of wisdom. They often feel numb, directionless, and stuck in overthinking because they’ve lost the energy that rises from the body.
🔁 Intuition and Instinct Are Linked
Most people assume instinct and intuition are opposites.
But in reality, they are correlated. People with strong instincts often have strong intuition.
Why?
Because both come from beyond thought.
- Instinct rises from the body
- Intuition rises from the soul
They both bypass the conscious mind. That’s why people who are deeply in their bodies often have powerful insights. And people who are numb, repressed, or sexually blocked often struggle to feel their inner compass.
🧭 The Wise Use All Three
A truly wise person:
- Uses intelligence to interpret the world
- Listens to instinct to stay grounded in reality
- Trusts intuition to sense the deeper truth
Ignore any one of these, and you’re unbalanced.
You might be clever, but not wise. Productive, but not aligned. Safe, but unfulfilled.
The greatest leaders, artists, lovers, and mystics are those who’ve mastered all three—mind, soul, and body in harmony.
That’s real wisdom.
